The Polish premiere of the stage masterwork of one of the most well-known French artists of the century. The surreal reality as if from a dream, obsessions and fantasies – a fascinating odyssey. Hundreds of renowned festivals worldwide!
Philippe Genty, an avid traveller, retains landscapes and images of countries he visits in his numerous travels. He also keeps other images in his memory – images from his dreams. Subconsciousness, this rich and colourful continent has intrigued him for a long time now. Is not a dreamer also a ‘still traveller’? There are eight characters on a stage, they are more or less human and are abducted to take part in an odyssey beyond time, space and all physical limitations. Eight ‘still travellers’ are undergoing permanent metamorphosis in imitation of feelings and states of mind, experienced by their bodies. The essence of Phillippe Genty’s performance, beyond all attempts at its “interpretation” is complete freedom he offers the audience, the freedom of choice of history the audience wishes to see. The master of arrangement, light, animation, sound! Exceptionally personal and intimate and at the same time timeless artistic expression. Especially for Krakow, the microcosm of Philippe Genty as always in a perfect performance. Mastery worthy of the master!
